Cry barnsley rock band uk

CRY are a 4 piece rock band from Barnsley featuring Dave Pearsall on vocals, Steve Clifford on guitar, Perry Duke on bass and Matt Townsend on drums.

Initially getting together as a 3-piece of Steve, Dave and Matt in late 2010 they spent time writing new songs and in March 2011 they released 'The G2 Sessions' EP featuring 'Sin City', 'Last Train to Rocknrollsville' and 'My Plastic Clowns'.  Recorded at G2 Studios in Sheffield and produced by Paul Harris.  It reached no.14 in the Roadrunner Records weekly rock chart in April of that year.

In September 2011 they were joined by experienced bass player and all round top bloke, Perry 'Pez' Duke, taking over bass duties from Dave and allowing the band to develop from their intial power trio confines.

In January 2012 the band released ‘Circus of Power’ as a promo single to bridge the gap before the release of their album.

Earlier in 2011 the band had begun work on their debut album, ‘Growing Old Disgracefully’ which was recorded at G2 Studios in Sheffield with producer Paul Harris.

On May 1st the band released another single, ‘A Year and a Day’ and also announced the album was to be released on 25 May 2012 and a Launch night party and gig has been arranged at The Trades Club, Barnsley on Friday 25th May 2012.
